Specialist Leaders of Education (SLEs) are outstanding middle and senior leaders who have the experience and skills to support individuals or teams in similar positions in other schools. This ‘outreach’ work typically involves providing other leaders with coaching or facilitation support, to help them develop their classroom practice or leadership. Schools have also successfully used SLEs to support teachers in 1:1 classroom support. Each SLE offers (in addition to outstanding classroom practice) a particular area of expertise, on which other school leaders can draw. All of our SLE’s are quality assured and attend regular training to ensure maximum impact.

Our current SLE are:

Carl Vernalls Early Years Foundation Stage & Initial Teacher Training (Tidemill)
David Petty Behaviour and Safety (Tidemill)
Amelia Swan Phonics (Tidemill)
Amy Herbert Special Educational Needs (Tidemill)
Fiona Chapman Maths (Palmer Academy)
